Last week, Polkadot Cupcake Shop announced their new fall flavors and I immediately knew that I had to place an order. We opted for pickup rather than delivery, and made the quick jaunt up to Ridgefield, New Jersey to pick up our sweet treats.
September’s Cupcake of the Month is, aptly so, the PB&J – the staple of almost every elementary school kid’s lunch box. Arlene makes one of our favorite peanut butter frostings, and combined with the moist vanilla cake and grape jelly filling, it really tasted just like a PB&J! This was my favorite!
However, her fall cupcake, Country Orchard, was delectable too, and right up Eric’s alley. Cinnamon cake, chunky apple/cinnamon filling, topped with vanilla buttercream and a dusting of cinnamon. So yummy and surprisingly light, it tasted just like an apple crumble, one of Eric’s all-time favorite desserts!
